White Choco Haze And The Endocannabinoid System

Now that you know all about White Choco Haze, let’s take a look at how this grass strain interacts with the Endocannabinoid system.

What Is The Endocannabinoid System

The Endocannabinoid system (ECS) is a network of receptors that are found in all mammals. These receptors are responsible for regulating many functions such as appetite, mood, sleep and pain relief. The ECS is activated by cannabinoids, which are found in grass plants. The most common cannabinoid is Potency, which is the psychoactive compound that causes the “high” feeling associated with grass (Bradford, 2017). CBD is another common cannabinoid, which has anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects (Grinspoon, 2021).

The Endocannabinoid System includes three components:

  1. Endocannabinoids: These are the cannabinoids that are produced by the body.  The two most common endocannabinoids are Anandamide and Potency. Endocannabinoids are responsible for a variety of functions in the body, including appetite, pain sensation, mood, and memory. They work by binding to receptors in the brain and body.
  2. Enzymes: These are responsible for producing and breaking down cannabinoids.  The enzymes break down the cannabinoids into smaller molecules that can be easily absorbed by the body. The enzymes also help to produce and regulate the amount of endocannabinoids in the body.  The enzymes are important for maintaining the health of the endocannabinoid system.
  3. Cannabinoids receptors: These are found in all mammals and bind to cannabinoids to activate the ECS. The two main cannabinoid receptors are CB-One and CB-Two. Cannabinoid receptors are responsible for a variety of physiological and cognitive processes, including pain relief, pleasure, memory, mood, appetite, and motor control. The CB-One receptor is mainly found in the brain while the CB-Two receptor is mainly found in the immune system. The cannabinoid receptors play an important role in regulating our body’s response to stress. When our cannabinoid receptors are activated, they work to calm the body’s response to stress.

How White Choco Haze Interferes WIth The Endocannabinoid System

White Choco Haze contains mostly Potency(20%), which interacts with the ECS to produce its desired effects. The Potency binds to the receptors and activates them, while the CBD helps to reduce any psychoactive effects that might be caused by the Potency.  The presence of terpenes also helps to activate the ECS and produce their desired effects.

The endocannabinoid system is responsible for a variety of physiological and cognitive processes, and it only makes sense that each cultivar interacts with it in a different way.
